The lunch time game was Chievo vs. Lazio and Lazio made it three wins out of three thanks to a inspired performance from the Prophet Hernanes. Hernanes got the first goal with a lovely step over, drop of the shoulder and a curled effort in off the upright. Miroslav Klose got the second when he tapped home the rebound after a Hernanes effort was saved. Then Hernanes added a third and it was a splendid solo goal as the Brazilian ran down the left and kept running and hit an angle drive into the back of the net. Chievo picked up a consolation from the penalty spot when Sergio Pellissier sent Federico Marchetti the wrong way.

Udinese threw away a two goal lead at Siena and had to share the spoils. Emanuele Giaccherini equalised for Juventus on the hour. Mirko Vucinic added a second from the penalty spot. Seven minutes from time the comeback was complete as Vucinic crossed in for Kwadwo Asamoah to bundle home.

Roma lost out in a thriller at the Olimpico at home to Bologna. Roma came out of the traps and scored twice in the first fifteen minutes thanks to Alessandro Fiorenzi and Erik Lamela. Then with fifteen minutes remaining Roma melted as Bologna hit back with three goals. Alberto Gilardino headed one back then a minute later Alessandro Diamanti angled drive made it 2-2. Then in stoppage time a mix up between Maarten Stekelenburg and Nicolas Burdisso left Alberto Gilardino to tap home into an empty net.
