Finally Sporting Kansas City has announced that Birahim Diop has been waived from the club.
He made 32 MLS appearances scoring five goals in the process after coming to Kansas City in 2010.
Honestly Sporting is well shot of him. A roster slot is opened up and he was a waste of space. At the beginning of the season when I had taken a look at the roster I had honestly forgotten him and he was surplus.
Swope Park Rangers fell 3-0 to Houston Dynamo at the Sporting Club Training Park in Swope Park.
To say that there was no offensive effort would be false. There were chances but unlike with the Dynamo Reserves SPR didn’t make good on their chances on goal. It is a part of growing as players that will be of benefit here in this game. Look for a more concentrated effort in the next reserve match in April.
